The Cannabis Landscape in Thailand
In Thailand, the regulations surrounding cannabis sales are limited, but it's crystal clear that smuggling cannabis into the country is illegal. However, despite the strict regulations, dispensaries across Thailand have been stocking their shelves with smuggled cannabis since the day it was legalized. Initially, shops claimed a lack of local supply, then shifted to citing lower costs of smuggled cannabis. Today, some even point to a demand among Thai buyers who believe imported cannabis is superior to locally grown strains.
